Vicki, on her routine

I make sure my skin is as healthy on the inside as it is on the outside.

The Difference It Made

I have been using quality products for many years, however now applying Complete Serum to my cleansed skin each day has made a notable difference to my complexion.

I have fewer skin blemishes and a more supple and even skin tone. Honestly, people cannot believe my age.

Over the last five years working with Paula on my skin health, I have noticed less and less blemishing, and softer-looking fine lines, even though I am more mature now.

I get a lot more compliments, people saying they cannot believe how old I am.

Simplicity Is a Discipline

For me, simplicity with skincare is having minimal product, but knowing that it is really valuable and good. You are not applying a lot, so it is quite minimal, but it is a strong routine.

It is generally three products, and needling. Paula introduced me to the concept of microneedling, which really helps me, and I do that every second night.

The simplicity is really my discipline to make it happen.

It is easy to do, it is not hard for me to think about, it becomes part of what I do each day, and it gives me the confidence that I am actually seeing results.

Learning What Good Really Looks Like

Ingredients are really important to me. Not having lots of chemicals or silicones, and with packaging today it is really confusing. Sometimes they can mask things with long names.

Paula helped me to decipher all of that and understand it. She brought me from a place of thinking I was already doing the right thing, and educated me really well on what good actually looks like.

When I look for a skincare brand now, I look at the trust, the brand and the integrity around it, which Paula has helped me to understand much better. I do not look at the marketing.

Paula educated me really well on what good actually looks like.

What I Did Not Understand Before

Before finding Paula Cliffin, I was unaware of the impact and benefits a healthy microbiome has on the outside, not just the inside of my body and skin.

Paula is passionate, and her research around that is something else. She has even given me information beyond my skin, about the microbiome, and taught me how to test mine, so I can actually monitor my microbiome level.

That has been super helpful.

I have really noticed the connection between my gut health and my skin health, thanks to Paula. Her knowledge, support and care have noticeably improved my skin and my confidence.

In Vicki’s words, what she has noticed over five years:

  • FEWER SKIN BLEMISHES
  • SOFTER-LOOKING FINE LINES
  • A MORE SUPPLE AND EVEN SKIN TONE
  • MORE CONFIDENCE IN HER OWN SKIN

My Routine Supports It From the Inside

My routine also works from the inside. I do intermittent fasting, which I find is healthy, especially as you get older. I love my caffeine though, so my long black coffee is my every-morning go-to.

I eat a high-protein diet as well, so I am looking after my gut health. Low sugar, and low to no processed food, is what I do from a health perspective. That helps my skin too.

For my skin routine, I could cheat and just say I do what Paula tells me to do.

But I am really rigorous with my products, with the cleansing, and with what I put on my skin, making sure it is as healthy for me on the inside as it is on the outside.

Vicki, on trust

I can see the difference in my skin without doing anything harsh or unnatural.

It Comes Down to Trust

What it really comes down to is trust.

I trust that I know what I am doing, it is simple for me to do, and I can see the difference in my skin without having to do anything that is harsh or unnatural.

In the past, I was probably drawn to things that were marketed well. Growing up, skincare was not that significant, and we rarely applied sunscreen when we were younger.

Now I am just more alive to it, more open to the research, because I found Paula through the research.

It is the education from her that helped me understand the importance of the microbiome, gut health, and what you put on your skin.
